Will Demi, Bruce Stay In Idaho?

Associated Press

In the aftermath of the defeat of a proposition to overturn Gov. Phil Batt’s nuclear waste agreement with the federal government, a question remains unanswered.

Will actor Bruce Willis, who put up more than $121,000 for the initiative campaign, remain in Idaho?

Willis and wife Demi Moore and their three children live near Hailey, and have extensive business interests in the state.

In June, Willis said he might leave Idaho if voters rejected an initiative its sponsors hoped would prevent more nuclear waste from being dumped in Idaho.

It lost in Tuesday’s election, 305,571 to 181,892.

His publicist says Willis isn’t available to answer questions, and will be inaccessible for the next couple of months.

He’s in Canada and Europe, filming a new movie.

“You can try again in January,” said a spokesman for his publicity office, Rogers and Cowan of Los Angeles.
