Finalists Picked For Pbs Post

From Staff And Wire Reports

Peter W. Morrill, acting general manager of Idaho’s Educational Public Broadcasting System, is one of three persons named as a finalist for the position.

Jerold Garber resigned as general manager earlier this year to pursue a theological degree at Claremont College in California.

A screening committee of the state Board of Education selected finalists who will be interviewed by the board Nov. 20 in Boise. The board holds its November meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Eagle High School and then meets the next day at Boise State University. There is no indication when the board will select a new general manager.

Other finalists are Dick Hanratty, director of broadcasting at WNED-TV and WNEQ-TV, Buffalo, N.Y., and Toronto-Hamilton, Ontario and John M. Kasdan, executive director of Public Television Outreach Alliance, Washington, D.C. The board said a fourth finalist withdrew his candidacy.
