Moronkola Earns Start For Cougars

Dee Moronkola, a sophomore cornerback for Washington State’s football team, will make his first start of the season Saturday against Stanford. Moronkola, who started two games as a true freshman last fall, will start ahead of senior Terrell Henderson.

Right guard Bryan Chiu is not practicing this week and is considered very doubtful for Saturday, coach Mike Price said. Chiu injured his left shoulder against UCLA. Right tackle Ryan McShane might move to guard, with Rob Rainville starting in McShane’s normal spot.

In an effort to combat the attitude that led to Saturday’s lethargic performance in a 38-14 loss, WSU held a full-contact scrimmage Tuesday and plans another for tonight. “Mr. November has never done that,” Price joked, referring to his teams’ well-publicized late-season woes.
