Suspect In Drug Raid Was Misidentified

From Staff Reports

A man who was identified as Frank Friedlander when he was charged with distributing cocaine on the Colville Indian Reservation is not tribal Public Works Director Frank Friedlander.

Documents in federal court say the 24-year-old Nespelem man who was charged was incorrectly identified at the time of his arrest in August. He has now been identified as Frank Lambert.

Lambert is among 19 people who were arrested as the result of a two-year investigation of drug dealing at the War Bonnet Tavern in Nespelem. He is awaiting trial in U.S. District Court in Spokane.

Tavern owner Glenn W. Grubbs Jr., 42, of Coulee Dam, has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of cocaine and agreed to forfeit the tavern as part of a plea bargain.

Leaders of the Colville Confederated Tribes plan to establish a youth center in the building, which has been closed since it was raided in August. , DataTimes
