Cathedral Hosting Festival

Want to fly to Las Vegas and spend three days there? For free?

That’s the grand prize for $1 raffle tickets during this weekend’s Advent Festival at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, 1115 W. Riverside.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., today and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday. A silent auction will be held both days, and bidding on more than 100 items closes at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Besides offering the $1 raffle ticket for the Las Vegas trip, the festival will sell $5 tickets. Winners of $5 raffle tickets will receive a Lennox nativity set valued at $1,500 and an illuminated, illustrated Bible valued at $500.

Today, lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and pie and coffee from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. A cinnamon roll breakfast will be served Sunday.

Concert of prayer

A citywide concert of prayer will be at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 3520 E 18th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Members of all churches are invited.

Clergy prayer breakfast

All Spokane-area clergy and ministerial professionals are invited to a prayer breakfast from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 26 in the Seeley G. Mudd Chapel on the Whitworth College campus. The free breakfast in intended to provide a time of fellowship and spiritual renewal.
