Lamarche Receives Scholarship

Danielle J. LaMarche, a 1992 Sandpoint High School graduate and current student at Eastern Washington University, has been selected to receive a $500 Julia A. Robertson Memorial Scholarship for the 1996-97 school year.

LaMarche, a senior French/ secondary education major, will receive the foreign language majors scholarship from the EWU Foundation based on academic potential and merit.

The Anchor House youth facility in Coeur d’Alene has recognized William Kopriva and Robert Miles with the Harold Henderson Award and cash bonuses for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Kopriva, a ten-year Anchor House employee and computer technology instructor, was cited for dedication and commitment to the computer program he created, and for teaching with humor and patience. He was also noted for offering support and security to troubled youth.

Miles, a counselor and Anchor House employee for over 10 years, was recognized for his special talent in dealing with difficult, troubled youth and has become a foster parent to three former Anchor House residents.
