Dear Heloise: Just a warning to people who buy the fragrance oil for little rings that go on your lamp light bulb.

If the oil slips off the light, it will ruin your furniture. This happened to me. The oil ate holes in the finish of my new table. - “Sick” Frankie, Quitman, Texas

Dear Heloise: I just discovered something on my own and I want to share it with you.

To prevent tearing ragged, ripped stamps from a sheet of stamps, just crease the stamps along the perforated line. Then line them up along the edge of a countertop. They tear beautifully and easily. - Aline Wilson, East Greenbush, N.Y. xxxx
