Lots Of Jazz At Hobart’s, Mars

Jazz stalwart Barry Bergstrom will bring his quartet to Hobart’s Jazz Lounge tonight. Bergstrom, who lives in the Tri-Cities area, has been playing music professionally for more than two decades. He has played behind Maynard Ferguson, the Temptations, Bob Hope, Pharaoh Sanders and many others. Bergstrom spent several years as the music director for Carnival Cruise Lines. Tonight, the Barry Bergstrom Quartet will be playing material from its debut CD, “I Remember Clifford.” Showtime’s at 9 p.m. The cover is $3.

Jazz aficionados might also want to catch the newly formed group Danny McCollim and the Jazz Conspiracy, Tuesday at Ugly Rumors and the Mars Hotel. McCollim played keyboards in the original Jazz Conspiracy and his new band plays the same style of original music. Joining McCollim are Doug Senibaldi on drums and bassist Eugene Jablonski. Music starts at 9 p.m. , DataTimes
