Council considers plan to allow a non-profit corporation to issue revenue bonds to buy River Park Square parking garage. Also, members will hold a public hearing on the proposed 1997 spending plan.

Commissioners hold public hearings on two proposed road improvement districts in the Spokane Valley. One includes 46th Avenue and Morrow Park Road, the other is for 32nd Avenue and Saltese Lake Road.

Spokane County Planning Commission

Tuesday, 6 p.m., Spokane City Council Chambers, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

The commission is considering extending an “exclusive agriculture” zone and creating a new “forest” zone to protect natural resources. Public hearing started Nov. 14, and was supposed to be continued until Nov. 20. Severe weather and power outages forced the commission to postpone the second half of the meeting until this week.

Spokane Transit Authority

Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., STA auditorium, 1229 W. Boone Ave.

Among other matters, executive board will hold hearings on STA’s six-year transit development plan.
