Nordic skiing

Washington’s Parks and Recreation Department has items of importance and interest for skiers, including:

Sno-Park permits, required on vehicles in 125 winter access areas, including Mount Spokane State Park and Sherman Pass. Also are valid in Idaho and Oregon. Available at ski and snowmobile shops. Cost: $20 a season.

Cross-Country Ski Guide, a 50-page booklet showing groomed cross-country skiing areas. Cost: $4.
