Pedestrian Hit By Truck, Dies

A man died Saturday after being hit by a truck in north Spokane.
Police said Doug E. Nelson, 39, 1003 E. Garland, was trying to cross Nevada near Walton about 4:45 p.m.
He stepped into the street and was hit by a pickup truck driven by Ron E. Neu, 30.
Nelson, who had severe head and internal injuries, died about two hours later at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
