Loose talk

Dolly Parton, on her upcoming series, “Minding My Own Business” (in TV Guide): “We’re going to have a lot of stars, the same way ‘Fantasy Island’ and ‘The Love Boat’ did, so it won’t be like I’ll be on the screen so much you’ll want to puke.”

By now, she must almost be on her last legs

Tina Turner turns 58 today.

With that exposure, demand should snowball

Streisand shares the screen in “Mirror” with Sno Balls, the colorful, marshmallow-covered, coconut-sprinkled snack cakes from Hostess. “I think Barbra thought (they) would look good in the shot with her in a blue face mask,” screenwriter Richard LaGravanese said. “I don’t eat them, I don’t like them, but they’re visually interesting.” He’s apparently not alone; few Sno Balls were scarfed up when they were set out at the movie’s premiere party.

We’d run his photo, but it’s been overexposed

If Alex D. Linz looks familiar when he takes over for Macaulay Culkin in the third “Home Alone” movie, there’s a reason - several reasons, actually. According to USA Today, at the tender age of 7, Linz has appeared in TV’s “Lois & Clark,” “Step By Step” and “Cybill” (not to mention numerous commercials), Jim Carrey’s “Cable Guy” and is in the upcoming Michelle Pfeiffer-George Clooney flick, “One Fine Day.”

Children should be seen, but not by Heard

John Heard, who played Culkin’s father in the “Home Alone” films, has been charged with stalking his 9-year-old son by actress Melissa Leo (detective Kay Howard on NBC’s “Homicide”) and assaulting her boyfriend outside the boy’s school. A judge refused to give Heard custody of the child in 1994, saying he had a history of abusing Leo and lacked “parenting skills.”

Or maybe Chevy was talking about his career

A Los Angeles jury has rejected a $10 million lawsuit against Chevy Chase and Walt Disney Co. by movie set driver Fred Moroz, who claimed that his 1994 arrest for picking up illicit painkillers for Chase ruined his career although the charges were later dropped. His attorney said Chase is “very, very relieved that it’s finally behind him now.”
