Toll Free Cellular Plans Big Expansion

Compiled From Wire Services

Toll Free Cellular, a Seattle company that offers the cellular phone equivalent of 1-800 service, plans to take its business nationwide.

The privately held company recently received $14 million in financing, mostly from limited partnerships affiliated with Goldman, Sachs & Co. The agreement could provide $6 million more, depending on company performance. Mark Lazar, Toll Free Cellular’s chief executive, said the money will be used to pay for technical development projects, and sales and marketing efforts.
