Westminster Begins Noon Concerts On Wednesday

Nina Culver Correspondent

‘Christmas at Noon” kicks off its eleventh annual concert series Wednesdy at Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ. The concerts will be from 12:10 to 12:40 p.m. Dec. 4, 11 and 18.

Audience members are encouraged to bring brown bag lunches to the performances but, “if you’re eating celery or carrots, please chew in time with the music,” quipped organizer Joseph Kline.

The concerts are designed to give people a place to relax and escape the hubub of the holiday season, Kline added.

Wednesday’s concert will feature Elizabeth Gale, Laurie Eash and Floyd Czoski of Spokane Organists Unlimited.

The performance on Dec. 11 will present musicians from the Discovery School of Spokane, and the final concert on Dec. 18 will feature sopranos Joanne Bouma and Susan Windham.

The free concerts are all at the church, 411 S. Washington.

For more information, call the church office at 624-1366.
