Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: My favorite thing is my pantry door. The pantry has a regular-size door and on the inside of it, my husband hung pegboard from the top to about 3/4 of the way down.

The pegboard should be attached with screws and spacers between the board and the door so that when you insert the hangers, you will not scratch the door.

I hang just about every utensil that has a hole in the handle on this board - spatulas, spoons, wire whisks, bottle openers, funnels, plastic lids. The hangers come in all sorts of sizes and are just perfect for all the different things I need to hang.

It sure freed up my drawer space. - Bebie Bone, Dallas, Texas

Dear Heloise: When I read about the shaving can rust stain dilemma I decided to share my solution.

Coat the metal edges with clear fingernail polish. - Joseph R. Cooper, Placerville, Calif.
