What would happen if the president got Alzheimer’s disease, became senile or even was kidnapped by terrorists?

These are some of the specific questions to be considered by an advisory commission examining the precise circumstances in which a disabled president might be compelled to relinquish power under the 25th Amendment.

A group of 50 scholars, historians, former presidential advisers, physicians, psychiatrists and former White House doctors will convene on Sunday to consider the issues.
