Tampa, D.C. Advance

Roy Lassiter scored two goals and Martin Vasquez added a goal and two assists as the Tampa Bay Mutiny advanced to the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference finals with a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Crew at Tampa, Fla.

The Mutiny will face Washington D.C. United for the Eastern Conference title.

D.C. United advanced with a 2-1 win over New York-New Jersey MetroStars on Raul Diaz Arce’s penalty kick with less than 2 minutes remaining at Washington.
