Real Estate Coalition Formed

From Staff And Wire Reports

Representatives of the banking, construction, real estate and legal fields are getting together to educate the public about home ownership.

The Real Estate Coalition recently formed in Spokane County to combine the efforts and resources of several trade associations and businesses. The coalition’s goal is to promote home ownership, improve industry public relations and help more people buy homes.

“We can’t react and be effective,” said Don Walker, of Cherry Creek Mortgage, who is the first president of the coalition. “We need a mechanism in place that can act quickly to the needs of the market, and anticipate some of the changes. The Real Estate Coalition will provide the medium to support, fight or analyze the issues and needs of the entire industry and its clients.”

Other members of the Coalition include: Vice President Steve Flinn, Tomlinson Black North; Secretary-Treasurer Loretta Cael, Washington Mutual Savings Bank; Sandy Alderman, Coldwell Banker Corrado; Greg Benner, president-elect of the Spokane Association of Realtors; Al Haslebacher, Spokane Home Builders; Joni Hathaway, Farmers and Merchants Bank; Don Howell, Transnation Title; Mike Hume, Tomlinson Black North; Mike Murphy, Murphy Custom Construction; and Richard Sperling, Sperling Law Office.
