Officials Seize 39 Pot Plants

A large outdoor marijuana-growing operation in the Calder area of the St. Joe River was busted at noon Saturday in a multi-agency effort, according to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Department.

Officials seized 39 large marijuana plants, which they estimated to be worth $80,000.

The Shoshone County MultiAgency Task Force, the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement and Potlatch Corp. cooperated on the seizure.

The police made no arrests, but gathered evidence at the scene, according to the sheriff’s department.

Potlatch workers reportedly discovered the plants. The investigation is continuing.
