Two Men Sought In Stabbing

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 22-year-old Spokane man was in critical condition Saturday after being stabbed during a fight in a downtown restaurant parking lot.

Police are looking for two men believed to be in their late 20s. One was described as Asian, and the other white or possibly Hispanic.

Both were last seen in a white, two-door car believed to be a late-model Nissan or Subaru, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Police found the victim laying in the Arby’s parking lot at 328 E. Third about 11 p.m. Friday. He was bleeding heavily from a wound, said Cottam, who did not release the victim’s name or location of his wound.

A witness told police he and a friend were walking toward the restaurant when a man in a car yelled a derogatory comment about Shadle Park High school to the victim.

The witness reportedly continued into the Arby’s before realizing the victim and suspect were fighting. He then saw two men walk to a car, leaving the victim laying in the parking lot, Cottam said.

It was not known if the victim knew his attacker.
