A 5-year-old boy who was hit by a car in the Spokane Valley last week is still in the hospital fighting for his life.
Victor Corrales was listed in critical condition at Sacred Heart Medical Center late Monday.
The boy was struck about 4:15 p.m. last Wednesday as he tried to cross Pines Road, just south of the Second Avenue intersection.
Washington State Police troopers said the boy and his older brother were playing on the east side of Pines when they decided to cross the road. The pair ran to the middle of the turn lane, where the older boy stopped.
Victor, who kept running, almost made it to the sidewalk before he was hit by a sports car. The driver was not cited. , DataTimes
