Cda Police Looking For Reserve Officers

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department is taking applications for reserve officers.

Among other things, reserve officers ride with senior patrol officers and work at special events, parades and games, said reserve supervisor Paul Burke.

Those interested can pick up an application at the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, 710 Mullan Ave.

Those chosen to be reserve officers will be sponsored by the city police department to go through the North Idaho Reserve Academy, which starts Jan. 7.

A total of 160 hours of training is required prior to becoming a certified member of the reserve program.

The police department currently has 15 reserve officers. , DataTimes
