Gorillas, Tigers Set Up Showdown Of Neb-11 Powers

Davenport and Republic won Friday to set the stage for next week’s matchup of Northeast B-11 unbeatens.

Dale Buchanan threw for 193 yards as top-ranked Davenport (5-0, 4-0) rolled to a 30-6 win over visiting Ritzville (3-2, 2-2).

Jason Baldwin threw for 205 yards as Republic (5-0, 4-0), ranked as high as second in one state poll, rolled to a 31-9 road win over Almira/Coulee-Hartline (2-3, 1-3).

The teams meet at 6 Friday night in Davenport.

Davenport’s Travis Telecky added 128 yards on seven carries.
