Former Nfl Standout Dies Reynolds, Offensive Tackle For Cardinals, Patriots, Earned A Berth In Three Pro Bowls

Bob Reynolds, a Pro Bowl offensive tackle for the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1960s and 1970s, is dead at 57.

He died Thursday. No other details were released.

Reynolds played for the Cardinals from 1963 to 1971, and again in 1973. He was a second-round draft pick who went on to play in three Pro Bowls. He also played for the New England Patriots in 1972.

After retiring from the NFL, Reynolds worked for Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis for 20 years. He moved to the Chicago area after his retirement from the company and served as a deacon for a church and an outreach ministry.

Reynolds was born in Nashville, Tenn., and grew up in the Cleveland area. He attended Bowling Green State University in Kentucky, where he played in the College All-Star game. He later earned a master’s degree from Saint Louis University.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Kier and Gary; a daughter, Dawn; his mother, Venell, and 12 brothers and sisters.
