$100,000 In Jewelry Stolen From Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

A woman says someone stole $100,000 worth of jewelry she was keeping in her bedroom closet.

Elsie Jaeger, 53, told police that among the items taken from her Bitterroot Drive home were 30 to 50 gold chains, 50 to 100 gold charms, three to four sets of gold engagement rings with diamonds, a gold ring with three pearls and a gold ring with saphires and diamonds.

Jaeger told police that when she opened a valise where she kept her jewelry on Sept. 27, she discovered all the good jewelry was gone. Only inexpensive pieces were left behind, according to the report.

Jaeger said she waited two weeks to report the missing items because she was so upset she didn’t know what to do, according to the report.

Lt. Don Jiran said Tuesday that no one has been arrested in connection with the reported burglaries. , DataTimes
