Ambassadors Strikes Deal For Midwest Firm

Ambassadors International Inc. has reached an agreement to merge Minneapolis-based Bitterman & Associates Inc. into a new subsidiary.

The deal, if closed, would be the third expansion through acquisition this year for Ambassadors, which operates international travel programs from its Spokane headquarters.

Bitterman would bolster Ambassador’s venture into performance improvement programs for corporate clients. The acquisition in January of The Helin Organization, a specialist in incentive travel, launched that effort.

Bitterman offers travel, merchandise and other services.

The deal could close as early as next month. Terms have not been finalized.
