‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ Is Long On Fun

Even though Renny Harlin knows how to film action, he hasn’t always directed it effectively. Consider the graphic violence of “Die Hard 2” and consider “Cutthroat Island” period. But Harlin restrains himself with “The Long Kiss Goodnight” and relies, instead, on Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson to recite Shane Black’s witty dialogue. The result: an action film with a proper, if stirring, sense of fun. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
