Perot Tells His Secrets To Success In New $13.99 Book

Associated Press

Even if they don’t elect him president, Americans can still tap into Ross Perot’s wealth of business knowledge by picking up his new book.

“Ross Perot: My Life & Principles For Success,” is part autobiography and part personal business principles. Perot first wrote down his homilies more than a decade ago when his son, Ross Jr., now 37, graduated from college.

The Texas billionaire, listed as one of the richest Americans by Forbes Magazine since 1982, is running for president for the second time - this year as the Reform Party nominee.

“This book will be widely distributed prior to the November election in order to inform voters about Ross’ life and the principles that guided him,” Perot’s spokeswoman Sharon Holman said in a statement.

Among his business guidelines:

“Be careful about hiring recent graduates from the elite colleges, including the top business schools. They have been programmed to play corporate games - taking instead of giving.”

“Avoid asking lawyers what you should do. Generally speaking, lawyers give advice and options, but dislike making recommendations or decisions. Tell the lawyers what you want done.”

Published by The Summit Publishing Group, the book sells for $13.99.
