The second-ranked Bengals improved to 7-0, 3-0 in the Inland Empire League. Lewiston entertains Sandpoint (7-0, 2-0) in what should be a dandy matchup next Friday.
At Lake City, Post Falls’ defense was stronger than the Timberwolves’ as the Trojans picked up an 18-7 IEL victory.
Quarterback Skylar Willard threw for 237 yards and a TD in leading St. Maries to a 36-28 Intermountain League overtime win over the Hawks before about 300 fans at Lakeland’s Corbit Field.
