Candidate’s Spouse Ticketed As Vandal

Republican Rep. Robert Dornan’s son made a citizen’s arrest when he saw a man tearing down his father’s campaign signs - it was the husband of Dornan’s congressional opponent.

Stephen S. Brixey III, husband of Democrat Loretta Sanchez, was arguing with Mark Dornan when police arrived.

The 37-year-old son of the nineterm congressman said he was out installing the campaign signs when he spotted Brixey and another man kicking down the signs.

Brixey was given a citation charging him with vandalism - a misdemeanor.
