Hornets Buzz Billygoats, Win On Game’s Final Play

Jesse Schumacher’s 13-yard pass to Rich Whitney on the final play Friday sparked Inchelium (4-3, 3-1) to a 25-24 Northeast B-8 win at fourth-ranked Pateros (5-2, 3-1).

Pateros led 24-6 in the third quarter after Galen Desautel, who rushed for 223 yards on 32 carries, scored on a 1-yard run.

Jason Crawley was 20 of 42 for 295 yards for the Billygoats, the defending state champions.

Odessa 51, Columbia 6

Randy Carlson connected on 8 of 17 passes for 231 yards as the top-ranked Tigers (7-0, 4-0) beat the visiting Lions (2-5, 2-3).

Sean Moon had two receptions for 80 yards for Odessa, which ended the game early in the fourth quarter on the 45-point rule.

Cusick 46, Wellpinit 12

Justin Finley and Tell Hamilton both rushed for 100 yards as the visiting Panthers (4-3, 2-2) beat the Redskins (1-6, 1-4).

SOUTHEAST B-8

SJE 41, Prescott 0

Josh Stolmeier passed for 75 yards and Lance Repp rushed for 72 as the Eagles (3-4, 2-3) piled up 446 total yards to beat the visiting Tigers (2-4, 0-4) and maintain playoff hopes.

SJE linebacker Andrew Kolb had 11 tackles, including two sacks.

Touchet 56, Rosalia 22

Jake Bussell threw for 153 yards and Alfredo Lomeli rushed for 138 as the third-ranked Indians (6-1, 3-0) beat the visiting Spartans (3-4, 2-2). Rosalia’s Bill Lathrop had seven carries for 102 yards.

NON-LEAGUE

Spr.-Harrington 58, Lind 12

Jason Carroll rushed for 141 yards and passed for 52 as the independent Falcons (4-2) piled up 355 yards to beat the visiting Bulldogs (0-6) of the NEB-8 at Sprague.
