Sonny Bono In Hospital

Rep. Sonny Bono has been hospitalized for treatment of a bleeding ulcer, apparently brought on by aspirin or ibuprofen, his spokesman said Friday.

The 61-year-old Republican from Palm Springs, Calif., expects to be released from the Naval Medical Center during the weekend and resume campaigning for a second term next week, spokesman Frank Cullen said.

Bono was transferred out of the intensive care unit and was in good condition.
