Finances: Raised $1,035,025 and spent $1,027,902 as of Oct. 10, but has since raised at least an additional $125,000. She has raised most of her money from small contributors, including more than 6,000 people across the state who send her $10 a month. The state Republican Party also intends to spend up to $500,000 on her race.

Why she’s running: “I am running because I think government is too big, too expensive, and too intrusive, without enough emphasis on moral values, rights and freedoms.”
