Athletes Suspended For Hazing

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Walla Walla High School football team started practices this week minus eight players suspended over a hazing incident.

The sophomore and junior players cornered six freshmen players at a football camp in Boise. Witnesses described the incidents, which occurred June 19 in a dorm at Boise State, as hazings.

Fourteen other players were put on athletic probation for not reporting the hazing, Walla Walla High School Athletic Director Don Wilkins said. They can play football this season, but will lose that right if they take part in any other “inappropriate behavior,” Wilkins said.
