Kenneth ‘Ken’ Critchell Dover, Idaho

Rosary for Kenneth G. “Ken” Critchell, 89, will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sandpoint. Christian Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Critchell, who was born in Sandpoint, died Tuesday.

He attended Bonner County schools and then worked for Long Lake Lumber Co. before working for Pack River Lumber Co. in the 1940s.

He helped build lumber mills for Pack River Lumber Co. and also built and designed mills in Canada, Washington, Montana and Idaho. He had served as vice president of Pack River Lumber and was also general manager before retiring in 1976.

Mr. Critchell was active in community affairs and trained youth to work in community projects.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Elks Lodge and also was a past member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Roxie; five children, Carol Jensen and Molly Alexander, both of Pocatello, Idaho, Ed Critchell of Sagle, Idaho, Dorothy Payne of Coeur d’Alene and Erin Critchell of Sandpoint; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ellen Lawson Panorama City, Wash.

Burial service for Ellen C. Lawson, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane. Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lawson, a former Spokane resident, died Aug. 26 at home.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.

In 1932 she married Wilfrid Lawson in Coeur d’Alene.

They settled in Spokane and moved to Panorama City in 1977. She had worked for Kraft Foods.

She is survived by her husband.

Mayme Anderson Osburn, Idaho

Memorial service for Mayme I. Anderson, 84, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg. Inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Anderson, who was born in Kellogg, died Thursday.

She was a lifelong Silver Valley resident and was a mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.

Survivors include a son, Charles Anderson of Montana; two daughters, Donna Rude of Osburn and Joyce Anderson of Colorado; three brothers, Waino Jantti of Kingston, Idaho, and Raino and Viljo Jantti, both of Spokane; a sister, Martha Hutchinson of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg.
