Cal-San Bernardino Women Forfeit 29 Wins In 1993-94

Compiled From Wire Services

The Cal State San Bernardino women’s basketball team must forfeit its 29 wins in the 1993-94 season because it used an ineligible player, the school announced Tuesday.

Bill Gray, the Cal State San Bernardino sports information director, said the NCAA Committee on Infractions made the decision.

Gray said the school couldn’t name the woman because of policy, but the San Bernardino Sun identified her as Felice Logan.

The Coyotes were 29-4 and finished second in the NCAA Division II tournament, losing to North Dakota State 89-56 in the finals.

Gray said the woman in question transferred from Cal State Dominguez Hills. It was discovered she had participated in practice with the Dominguez Hills team, a violation since she didn’t report it to San Bernardino.

In addition, Gray said, it was discovered she had played professionally in Europe after attending Dominguez Hills, thus forfeiting her eligibility.
