Alzheimer’s Victim Reported Missing

Police are looking for an 83-year-old man who was declared missing by his wife when he disappeared after a visit to the dentist Tuesday.

Maxwell R. Baker of Hayden has Alzheimer’s disease and failed to return home after leaving a Post Falls dentist office at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department.

Baker was driving a 1989 gray, four-door Honda Civic with Idaho license plate number K5126. He was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 178 pounds.

He has hazel eyes, gray hair, and was wearing a blue longsleeved shirt, Levi jeans, boots and a tan straw hat. He is missing his right index finger.
