Teen Sought In North Side Shooting

Police are looking for a 17-year-old boy in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in northeast Spokane.

Three youths told police the suspect shot at them with a semiautomatic handgun in the 3000 block of East Rowan.

A 14-year-old boy was wounded in the leg. He was treated at a local hospital and released, police said.

An East Rowan resident said she had a confrontation with the suspect in her home shortly after 11 p.m. She said he left and apparently confronted the youths outside.

He is being sought on suspicion of first-degree assault.

In an unrelated incident, police said a 40-year-old man was assaulted and shot twice in the arm during a 1 a.m. robbery on West Boone.

The victim, who was treated and released, said he knew the gunman. No arrests have been made. , DataTimes
