Cda Pilot Can’t Remember Crash

From Staff And Wire Reports

The pilot of a small plane that crashed near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport last month says he doesn’t remember anything about the accident.

Gregory Rainey, 41, of Coeur d’Alene has been at Harborview Medical Center since the Aug. 23 accident with head injuries, broken legs and burns.

His passenger and good friend, Theodore Harris Jr., 39, also of Coeur d’Alene, was killed.

Rainey told reporters Thursday he remembers nothing about that fateful day except for taking off from Coeur d’Alene in a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron.

But he has seen pictures of the crash and wonders how he survived.

Rainey and Harris were on their way to Seattle for a football game at the Kingdome.
