Mr. And Mrs. Balcom Newman Lake

Alvin and Flora (Lloyd) Balcom, Newman Lake, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a dinner and dance.

Hosting the event were their children and spouses: Wayne and Lauretta Block, and Jim and Juanita Richardson, all of Newman Lake; Alvin and Renee Balcom, Greenacres; and Tim and Chantal Balcom-McFall, Kirkland, Wash.

The Balcoms will renew their vows Thursday in Pont-de-Vaux, France, where they were married Sept. 12, 1946.
