A 73-year-old Finnish tourist who collapsed with a heart attack was robbed of her diamond ring while lying unconscious on a New York City sidewalk.

Laila Simola’s ring was yanked from her hand while she waited for help Friday afternoon in the city’s Greenwich Village, police spokeswoman Carmen Melendez said Saturday.

Simola, of Helsinki, Finland, had collapsed about 1 p.m. as she walked with her daughter, Lisa Simola.
