Morris Response Expected

Compiled From Wire Services

A House committee chairman says former campaign adviser Dick Morris has indicated he will respond by late today to questions about his reported statement that Hillary Rodham Clinton was behind the collection of hundreds of confidential FBI files on former Republican officials.

Rep. William Clinger, R-Pa., chairman of the Government Reform and Oversight Committee, said Morris has agreed to respond by 5 p.m. today.

Clinger said in a statement that he “was astonished to learn from news reports” that Morris “has information linking the first lady to the improper review of 900 confidential FBI files.”
