Ohio Man Survives Jump From 11th Floor

Compiled From Wire Services

A man trying to commit suicide fell six stories at Ohio State University’s main library and survived with both legs fractured.

Mark Mason, 20, of Columbus, jumped from the 11th floor of the library and landed on the glass ceiling over the fourth floor of another part of the building, campus police Chief Ron Michalec said Monday.

It took an hour for firefighters using sledgehammers and drills to reach Mason. He was conscious and talking when firefighters got to him.
