Perot’s Traveling Mate

Ross Perot’s new running mate Pat Choate is traveling the more traditional campaign trail, making public appearances and taking questions from the news media.

Choate already has appeared publicly as many times as Perot during this campaign, even though he was just named Tuesday. He appeared in Dallas on Saturday to open the Reform Party’s new state office.

Rarely making public appearances, Perot has made a few convention speeches, but has held no news conferences since accepting the Reform Party’s nomination on Aug. 18.
