Her Posture’s So Bad She Can’t Stand Up Straight

Religious groups will likely mount a protest against the Walt Disney Co. if Ellen DeGeneres’ character comes out as a lesbian in her TV sitcom on Disney-owned ABC, says Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson.

“I find it hard to believe,” Robertson said on the “Fox News Sunday” show. “She’s so popular, she’s such an attractive actress - I think it will hurt her ratings. I don’t think the American people are ready for that, frankly.

“Disney is trying to position itself as a family company. You can’t be a family company if that’s the kind of posture you have.”

“Ellen” producers are setting the stage in this fall’s episodes, including one where DeGeneres steps out of a closet and says: “Yeah, there’s plenty of room, but it’s not very comfortable.”

Loose talk

Actress/model/ former Sylvester Stallone squeeze Angie Everhart, on her gender (in Fitness magazine): “Women are fortunate that they can wear makeup. My mother taught me that.”

Ellen always envied him in ‘Three’s Company’

John Ritter turns 48 today.

But, Mommy, what about all that overtime?

Lea Thompson has a new boyfriend on her “Caroline in the City” sitcom this fall, and her 5-year-old daughter, Madeline, is none too thrilled. “She doesn’t like it when I kiss other guys,” Thompson tells People magazine. “It really makes her mad. I had to explain to her that I would be kissing a new guy on the show this year. I say, ‘Mommy loves Daddy, but this is her job.”’

Oh, they would’ve just shot him down anyway

So how did Spokane’s own Scott O’Grady enjoy his stint as a judge at Saturday’s Miss America Pageant? “I think they were all gorgeous, and it’s not just a matter of physical beauty,” the bachelor Bosnian war hero said. “Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet any because (judges) couldn’t fraternize or socialize.”

Nose for news? This cub’s got toes for news

The Duchess of York (aka the former Sarah Ferguson), scrambling to earn a little dough since her divorce from Prince Andrew, has signed on as a correspondent with the French newsweekly Paris Match - the same publication that she and lover John Bryan won $130,000 from after it printed pictures of him sucking her toes. “She has always been interested in journalism,” a spokesman said.

‘High’ isn’t quite how we’d describe her profile

“Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson Lee has been named Coors beer’s new Queen of Halloween, replacing buxom “Mistress of the Dark” Elvira in those big in-store cardboard cutouts. “Certainly, Pamela Lee is one of the high-profile celebrities out there these days,” said a spokesman for the Colorado-based brewer. “With this campaign, we are targeting adults who like to celebrate Halloween.”
