Vikings Shut Out Deer Park To Notch First Win Of Season

Coeur d’Alene scored early and often en route to a 47-0 non-league win over host Deer Park Friday night. It was the Vikings first win of the year.

Quarterback Nick Rook opened the scoring with a 15-yard first-period run.

Seven different players scored touchdowns for Coeur d’Alene (0-0, 1-2).

Vikings running back Ben Ziegler picked up 92 yards on just seven carries, including a 36-yard run scoring run.

Pat Goodwin put the game out of reach with a 74-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half.

Lewiston 44, Pullman 27

The Bengals jumped out to a 19-6 first-quarter lead and cruised to a non-league win over the Greyhounds at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow.

Lewiston quarterback Brad Rice had a hand in four touchdowns. Rice ran it in from 8 yards out, recovered a Pullman fumble in the endzone, and passed for two scores.

Lucky Ahhi paced Lewiston (0-0, 3-0) with 105 yards rushing on 18 carries.

Pullman quarterback Aaron Linehan threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted twice.
