Absence makes the star grow dimmer, as former Brat Pack-er Molly Ringwald discovered following a four-year exile in Paris.

When she made a guest appearance on American Movie Classics, producer Howard Meltzer recalls: “When I told everyone that Molly would be on the show, they said: ‘What happened to her? Is she still alive?”’

Ringwald, who plays a diner waitress in ABC’s new blue-collar “Friends” ripoff, “Townies,” met up with a real brat - former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Shannon Doherty.

Ringwald tells Entertainment Weekly that she and her Hollywood Hills roommates went to greet Doherty, saying, “‘Hi, we’re your neighbors!’ She said to me: ‘I know who you are. You don’t live here - you rent!”’
