Amy Fisher Describes Rapes, Love Affairs In Prison

Associated Presso

Amy Fisher, the “Long Island Lolita” of tabloid fame, told a federal judge Tuesday she has been raped, sodomized, and had casual sex and love affairs with her prison guards.

One guard woke her up several times in her prison bunk in 1994 and took her out to have sex in deserted areas of her dormitory, Fisher said.

“I don’t know why I did it,” she told U.S. District Judge Richard Arcara in a hearing on her request for transfer to federal prison in Danbury, Conn. “I just did it because I did it.”

Fisher, 22, became nationally famous as a teenager when she shot the wife of her boyfriend, Joey Buttafuoco. She is serving a five- to 15-year term for assault at Albion Correction Facility, 30 miles east of Buffalo.

She and her mother, Roseann, are suing 22 state prison officials and guards for $20 million each. They also seek her transfer to escape from what she claims is a pattern of sexual abuse.

New York prison officials contend the lawsuit is a ploy by Fisher to be incarcerated closer to her Long Island home.

Looking pale and thin, Fisher testified for more than four hours Tuesday, describing numerous sexual encounters to a courtroom of 13 lawyers for the defendants and two more working on Fisher’s behalf.

Fisher said one guard raped her in a prison stairwell in October 1994, while another sodomized and raped her in the prison in April.

In a July 1995 incident, Fisher said she had been flirting with another male guard who told her to go in the officers’ bathroom. He began kissing her there and had sex with her.

On cross-examination, Fisher said she had the word “sexy” tattooed on her right shoulder since being imprisoned, and that before prison she had had both male and female sex partners, had contracted herpes, and been pregnant.
