Alliance To Develop Health Care Services

A doctor organization at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and MSB-Blue Shield of Idaho have created a new alliance to develop managed health care programs.

Officials of St. Al’s Physician Hospital Organization and Blue Shield announced the alliance on Thursday and said it was designed to “provide access to high-quality, cost-effective and coordinated health care services.”

Blue Shield President and Chief Executive Officer Rich Nelson said in the alliance, “physicians will be responsible for managing patient care and treatment plans and MSB-Blue Shield brings over 50 years of experience in marketing, claims management, information systems and financing.”
