Lakeside Piles Up 400 Rushing Yards

Lakeside was in a big rush to begin the Northeast A season.

The Eagles, who opened the season with a pair of non-league losses, rushed for 400 yards Friday to beat visiting Freeman 33-0 at Nine Mile.

Jason Downie rushed for 141 yards and Tai Saito added 118 for Lakeside, which held the Scotties (0-3, 0-1) to 70 total yards. Lakeside’s Randy Brownell had 15 tackles and a fumble recovery.
